Meet Coach mike

MBA, Professional Business Coach, Accomplished Entrepreneur, Experienced Sales Executive, Lifetime Learner, and Aspiring Surfer

Hi, I'm Mike.

I believe that for coaching to yield results, there needs to be a strong fit between the coach and the client.

You probably have some questions about who I am, my background and what I’m like to work with.

On this page, I’ll share the following information (you can click the links to jump to the parts you’re interested in):

My qualifications and experience

So how did I get here?

I’ve been a professional Business Coach and Consultant since 2019.

Before coaching, I had an exciting career spanning executive sales roles for financial institutions and owner of two companies, including one successful exit. It’s been an amazing ride thus far, and now I’m sharing everything I’ve learned in order to improve the businesses and lives of entrepreneurs.

Here are some of the key highlights:

* Led the National Sales Desk Western Region for one of the largest insurance companies in the country – a team of 22 salespeople responsible for over $1 billion in annual sales

Built multiple high-growth sales territories for the same company, including one territory from $12 – $75 million in 3 years (84% annualized growth rate)

Consulted and coached 500+ financial advisors in marketing and practice management

* In a 24-month period, purchased, grew, and sold an e-commerce retailer of branded goods of one of the largest spirits retailers in the country

* Co-founded and was COO for a high-growth food manufacturing and delivery company with over $4.5 million in revenue, 33 employees, and 3,000 customers

* Assisted 20+ business owners in the areas of business growth strategy, operational efficiency for increased profit margins, valuation, and exit strategy

my beliefs about small business and coaching

I believe business challenges usually fall into 1 of 3 categories: time, team, or money.

No matter the size of the business or where it’s at in its life cycle, all challenges can be boiled down to one of these three areas. Business owners often struggle with time management and can’t seem to find enough time to create harmony between work and personal life. Next, many issues arise from the inability to build and nurture the right team. And finally, major challenges arise from the financial woes such as the inability to manage cashflow properly.

I believe that small business ownership is still a vital part of the American Dream and possibly the best path for wealth creation and financial freedom.

Small businesses account for 43% of our country’s GDP, drive 64% of all new job creation, and comprise 98% of all businesses. Perhaps I’m biased, but I was raised by small business owners and became one over a decade ago. I’ve seen the challenges and opportunities that small business provides firsthand, and I can’t help but be a raving advocate for small business ownership.

I believe that most small business owners are merely a handful of key decisions (and actions) away from taking their businesses to the next level.

This is not to say a business can be turned around overnight or break through a plateau in a week, but often times, the solutions arise in a set of fundamental decisions and actions that remedy problems in the areas of time, team, or money. These decisions can have cascading, positive effects on the business and the business owner.

I believe that I was born to coach.

It’s always easier to connect the dots looking backwards. And looking back, coaching has always been a common denominator across the span of my career from executive sales roles to entrepreneurship. I’ve constantly gravitated towards coaching others and have been drawn to the opportunity to help others grow and succeed.

Today, that means helping clients make breakthroughs to increase revenue and profits, sharpen leadership skills, and take back their time.
